A month after a prank gone gone, the Australian DJs are getting canceled

The Kate Middleton hospital hoax is making news again.

The Australian DJs who made headlines last month when they prank called King Edward VII Hospital, while the Duchess of Cambridge was being treated there, are getting the axe.

The radio talk show, Hot 30 Countdown, which the prank was made on, has been canceled.

It was announced on air that the show would be canceled but that the DJs who were responsible for the prank would still be employed by the company and would be hosting a new show soon.

A different DJ will be replacing the Hot 30 Countdown hosts.

The CEO of 2DayFM, Rhys Holleran, made a statement regarding the program changes, according to BBC News.

"We look forward to Mel and MC returning to work when the time is right, in roles that make full use of their talents. We will discuss future roles with them when they are ready."
