Barbara Walters continues her stay in the hospital after falling and cutting her forehead this past weekend.
The veteran journalist, 83, missed out on the inauguration coverage today as a result of the injury and will miss The View tomorrow.
She has a cut on her head after tripping over a step while at the British ambassador’s home on Saturday. A source for ABC told Daily Mail “Barbara's doing fine, she's still under observation at hospital in Washington.”
The source confirmed “Barbara won't be on The View tomorrow,” but the other ladies will give an update on her condition.
When news first broke of the fall, ABC News' Jeffrey Schneider explained “Barbara Walters fell on a stair last evening while visiting the British Ambassador's residence and the fall left her with a cut on her forehead.
Out of an abundance of caution, she went to the hospital to have her cut tended to, have a full examination and remains there for observation. Barbara is alert (and telling everyone what to do), which we all take as a very positive sign.”
