Barbara Walters stayed another day in the hospital following her scary fall over the weekend.
As we previously reported, Walters slipped on a step and suffered a cut to her forehead during her visit at the British Ambassador’s home in Washington D.C. Walters was in D.C. to provide coverage to Monday’s inauguration of President Barack Obama. Unfortunately she remains in the hospital for observation despite doing well.
A spokesperson for ABC tells Daily Mail, “Barbara's doing fine, she's still under observation at hospital in Washington.”
Fans can also expect the 83-year-old journalists absence on The View tomorrow. “Barbara won't be on The View tomorrow,” the spokesperson informs.
Following the news of her fall, Jeffery W. Schneider, Vice President of ABC News, released a statement in regard to her condition. Schneider was sure to inform that “Barbara is alert (and telling everyone what to do), which we all take as a very positive sign.”
The hospital is taking extra precautions to insure Walters is healing properly.
