Ben Affleck dishes on fatherhood, 'They're most important in my life'

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Argo actor/director Ben Affleck is noted as one of Hollywood’s most talented actors, but to Affleck, his job is simply that, a job. The actor admits that his top priority is being a father to his three children.

“They're most important in my life,” Affleck gushed to Us Weekly during the National Board of Review Awards in New York City, Tuesday.

"Family is a wonderful thing,” he continues, “But it doesn't mean you can't do other stuff in your life. In fact, having a family makes whatever other thing you have that much richer. If it was just me, I'd be home alone and think, 'Well, something good happened at work,' but it's much nicer to share it with people you love."

Affleck has much to celebrate outside of his family, which includes his stunning wife Jennifer Garner, daughters Seraphina, Violet and son Samuel. Argo, the highly celebrated semi-true story of the CIA Canadian secret operation to free six Americans from Iran, has been nominated for five Golden Globes including “Best Motion Picture-Drama” and “Best Director.”
