Bethenny Frankel, the former Real Housewives of New York star who turned businesswoman, filed for divorced from her husband Jason Hoppy.
The couple announced separation last month, and TMZ reported that they have begun the initial process of divorce – filing a summon for divorce, earlier this month.
The reality TV star confirmed this as a difficult situation where, according to TMZ, she did not even want to mention the word ‘divorce,' referring to it as ‘separating.'
"It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating," she said in a statement last month. “This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family."
She also appreciated the support she had obtained throughout the divorce process on tweet, "To those of you who are being supportive: thank you, To those of you who are judging: I totally get it."
According to USA Today, the founder of the lucrative Skinnygirl brand met her soon-to-be ex-husband in 2008 and got married in 2010.
They have a two-year-old daughter, Bryn, together.
