Beyonce resurfaces following inauguration lip-sync controversy

Nothing much has been heard from Beyonce since the world heard the disappointing news that she might have lip-synced the National Anthem at President Obama’s inauguration on Monday. She has been posting some photos on her Instagram page, and her latest reveals her whereabouts since the performance.

E! News reports that Beyonce posted a photo of herself in New Orleans with a Mother's Restaurant menu in her hands. She didn’t leave any comments, other than “NOLA.”

Of course, New Orleans is where the Super Bowl is being held on Feb. 3, so she is presumably getting ready for the long rehearsal process for her halftime show performance.

Since the Marine Corps revealed that they couldn't confirm if Beyonce was really singing or not at the inauguration, some of her colleagues have come out in her support, noting that lip-synching is a common practice when singing at outdoor venues.

“She wanted her performance to be what she wanted to be and she realized it wasn't going to be the way she wanted it to be or she was going to be running a risk,” Aretha Franklin told ABC News. “That's probably why she pre-recorded exactly how she wanted it to be heard.”

However, musician Mike Doughty wrote a piece for Slate.com analyzing her performance. He came to the conclusion that either Beyonce must have sung it live or she is a really, really good mime.
