British singer Lily Allen gives birth to second child, Marnie Rose

British singer Lily Allen has welcomed her second child on Tuesday with husband Sam Cooper.

Allen and Cooper named their baby girl Marnie Rose, and she joins big sister Ethel Mary, 13 months.

The singer was getting so many well wishes that she took to her Twitter page to say “Quite overwhelmed by all the well wishing going on. THANKYOU everybody x x x.”

Allen was telling her Twitter followers that she was trying foods to speed up the labor process, mainly curry.

"3rd curry this week. ............ Nothing #cosywomb," she said last Friday, E! Online reports.

She also said on New Year’s Eve, "2013 is gonna be big...I'm only planning on spending a few days of it pregnant. Unlike the last 3 years." On New Year’s Day, she wrote "Thought I was in labor but I just need to fart.”

She said on Jan. 2, "My husband is currently making me a Pantera mix CD to take to the birthing suite. #cute."

Allen and Cooper got married in 2011.
