Brothers Chris and Liam Hemsworth bond in Costa Rica

The Hemsworth brothers explored the island of Costa Rica while on their family vacation last week.

According to E! Online, the two guys spent hours outside surfing and hiking with Liam's fiance, Miley Cyrus and Chris' wife Elsa Pataky.

The two brothers were snapped shirtless with surfboards, putting their fit bodies on full display. A Twitter fan page for Liam shared pictures of their adventures.

The Daily News reports the pair have been surfing since childhood, and always have a friendly competition going on between them.

In a past interview with the Daily News, Chris shares “Very early on, I was working out for Thor and he was coming in occasionally and working out with me and lifting weights. I was like, ‘What are you doing, you’re supposed to be a group of people who are underfed.”

Chris was referring to little brother Liam's role in the film The Hunger Games. Liam just finished filming the anticipated sequel, Catching Fire which hits theaters later this year on November 22.

Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky welcomed a daughter India Rose in June 2012.
