NBC’s comedy Community released a sneak peak at the first episode of season 4, which parodies the hit The Hunger Games.
NBC posted the clip on their official YouTube channel on Thursday. The clip can be viewed below:
The sneak peak is introduced by Community actors Danny Pudi, Jim Rash, and Joel McHale. The Dean tells Greendale Community College students they will compete in a series of challenges to get a red ball. The ball allows them to enroll in the class “The History of Ice Cream.”
McHale chatted with Entertainment Weekly in September about the episode. McHale notes the episode will have Jeff and the Dean dancing, and Jeff will compete in the games.
He also hints at another part of the first episode saying: “It is an homage to something that kids in the late ’80s and early ’90s watched on Saturday mornings.”
Community fans have been waiting for season 4 to premiere for months. It was originally supposed to air starting in October 2012.
NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt says he believes there will be a fifth season of the hit comedy, as we previously reported.
Community returns to NBC on Thursday, February 7 at 8 p.m. ET.
