The Office might be ending this season, but some notable talent from the show is sticking with NBC. Actor Craig Robinson and producer Greg Daniels are teaming up for an untitled pilot.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project, created by Robinson and Office supervising producer Owen Ellickson, features Robinson as a musician who becomes a middle school teacher. He has to deal with annoying kids, school politics and tempting single mothers.
Entertainment Weekly notes that Ellickson will write the pilot, with Robinson as a producer.
Universal TV, Deedle Dee Production and 3 Arts Entertainment are co-producing, with Daniels, Tracy Katsky, Howard Klein and Mark Schulman as executive producers.
Daniels has a good chance of getting a new show with NBC after The Office. Just last week, his untitled pilot about the world of dating was greenlighted.
Other NBC comedy pilots in the works include Joe, Joe & Jane, About A Boy and Assistance.
Outside of The Office, Robinson has starred in Hot Tub Time Machine and stars in the upcoming This is the End.
