'Criminal Minds' actor Thomas Gibson arrested fro DUI

Criminal Minds actor Thomas Gibson was arrested Sunday morning, suspected of DUI.

The police’s suspicion began to grow when they found him driving to a closed area, due to half-marathon, in downtown Los Angeles early Sunday morning, reports E! News.

According to The Examiner, the police started suspecting once they sensed a strong alcohol smell coming from Gibson’s vehicle, and questioned him about it.

Unsatisfied with the answers, the police asked him for a test to a breathalyzer, but he refused to submit.

According to E!, the Dharma & Greg actor was arrested, taken to the police’s custody at approximately 1:05 a.m. on Sunday, with the charge of misdemeanor DUI.

He made a $15,000 bail and E! stated that he was released at 1:30 p.m. today.

According to The Examiner, the arrest of the 50-year-old actor must have come to a surprise for some his fans, as he is married and a father of three children.

E! confirmed that Gibson's rep had no comment about this matter.
