The Super Bowl halftime show is already guaranteed to draw a huge audience since Beyonce Knowles is performing. But it could be even bigger. According to a report, Beyonce is bringing Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams with her to perform as Destiny’s child for the first time since 2006.
Sources told Us Weekly that the trio will perform after Beyonce opens the show solo. They will sing a short medley of their hits before leading into “Nuclear,” their new track.
After that, Beyonce will perform one more song solo, which will reportedly be a new track from her upcoming fifth album.
The report follows their announcement yesterday that they will release a new compilation featuring their love songs. The album, titled Love Songs, will hit stores on Jan. 29, just before the Super Bowl on Feb. 3. “Nuclear” will be included on the set.
According to MTV News, the trio hasn’t performed together since the 2006 NBA All-Star Game.
The group hasn’t confirmed the report.
Beyonce has been everywhere leading up to the Super Bowl in New Orleans, which will be broadcast on CBS. She and Pepsi are running a contest to pick 100 fans who will join her onstage during the halftime show. She also appears on the cover of GQ and has an HBO documentary premiering next month as well.
