Emma Watson mistaken for child at passport checkpoint

By Daniel S Levine,

Someone at a passport checkpoint must not have been a Harry Potter fan. If they had been, they would have known that Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger in all eight movies, is no longer a child. The 22-year-old actress revealed on Twitter last month that she was mistaken for a child while traveling.

Watson tweeted to her fans on Dec. 22 that she was mistaken for an “unaccompanied minor” and was asked where her guardian was.

“Passport control:'unaccompanied minor?' Me:'sorry?' Passport control:'where is ur guardian?' Me:'I'm 22!!!!!!!'#neverwearingabackpackagain,” the Perks of Being A Wallflower star wrote.

Unfortunately, Watson said that this was not the first time this has happened, reports E! News.

Watson is clearly no longer a child as she continues her career post-Harry Potter. She recently revealed to The Telegraph that she is interested in becoming a writer. “I would like to adapt something,” she said. “Maybe, eventually, even an original work.”

She added, “I would love to think I could write, but I would feel a bit intimidated...It is definitely something that I’d like to do, though.”

She is also on the cover of the current issue of Marie Claire. She joked about the headline “The Double Life of Emma Watson,” writing, “O damn they figured out I work for MI6!”
