Evan Rachel Wood expecting first child with husband, Jamie Bell

Evan Rachel Wood confirmed she is going to be a mother via Twitter on Friday, January 11.

The 25-year-old Thirteen and True Blood actress took to her Twitter account Friday morning to express her gratitude for the congratulatory responses to the news of her pregnancy.
“Thanks for all of your warm wishes. We are very happy. I’m gonna be a mama!” She wrote.

Wood’s husband, Jamie Bell, is a British actor most notable for his role in the movie Billy Elliot in 2000. According to The Huffington Post, the couple met on set of the Green Day music video “Wake Me Up when September Ends” in 2005 and wed in an intimate ceremony this past October. They had split in 2006, in which time Wood dated singer Marilyn Manson from 2006 to 2010, but got back together in the summer of 2011. Bell had proposed in early 2012, according to US Weekly.

Evan recognized the irony of her tweets from this past November when she had denied that she was with child. “Remember when i said, ‘No baby on the way here’ Well, I didnt know there actually was!” She joked on Twitter Friday morning.
