By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Rapper Frank Ocean was busted for speeding, possession of marijuana and had his license revoked all on New Year’s Eve.

According to TMZ, Ocean was pulled over for speeding in Mono County, CA for driving 90 mph in a 65 mph zone.

Upon reaching Ocean’s BMW, police reportedly smelled marijuana and found pot both on his person and in his car. His license was revoked on the spot as he was driving on a suspended license to boot. The Channel Orange musician was cited for marijuana and released. TMZ notes that Ocean’s passengers had to drive him home as he no longer had a license.

Ocean shot out last year with the debut of Channel Orange as it dominated the Billboard charts. Prior to the release of his album, the 25-year-old publicly came out in July, revealing his first love was a man. Ocean’s coming out marked a groundbreaking movement at the time, as he is one of the first men in the hip-hop world to come out.

Ocean and his camp have not commented on the drug possession as of yet.
