Jason Segel turns 33 years old.
Television and film actor, comedian, songwriter, musician and screenwriter, all these titles belong to Jason Segel.
Born on Jan. 18, 1980 in Los Angeles, he is best known for his character Marshall Eriksen in the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother, comedies with producer Judd Apatow and several movies such as The Muppets and The Five Year Engagement.
According to Wikipedia, his first major role was “Freak” Nick Andopolis on the NBC comedy-drama series Freaks and Geeks. After this, he appeared in Undeclared and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in recurring roles.
In 2007, Segel appeared in the film Knocked up, directed by Judd Apatow. In 2008, he played the lead role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which is also produced by Apatow. Later, he gave a voice in Despicable Me, and appeared in several movies, including Guilliver’s Travels, Bad Teacher and This is 40.
His claim to fame is his role in How I Met Your Mother, which is now in its eighth season. There were recent rumors claiming that Segel intended to bail on the show, but it is now confirmed that he will be returning for the renewed season 9.
His latest role is playing himself in the comedy This is the End, which will be released this summer.
