Pitbull turned 32 today!
Born in Hialeah, Florida, the rapper whose real name is Armando Cristian Pérez, was born into a Cuban-American family.
At the age of 16, Pitbull became a drug dealer - a point of his life when he got kicked out by his mother, and returned to the right track.
He concentrated in his rapping career right after he graduated from high school, where he went to Miami and firstly signed with a recording contract with Atlantic Records' then-vice president.
The recording studio, called Luke Records, helped to develop Pitbull's career by securing a spot for him in Lil Jon's album at that moment.
Lil Jon made a song about Pitbull that raised his profile in the rapping world.
In 2009, he released the album Rebelution, that included the hit song "I Know You Want Me."
The song secured him the spot in Hot 100 as number 2 in the UK chart, and no. 1 in the France chart.
Another song from the same album entitled "Hotel Room Service" secured a spot in the Hot 100 as number 8.
He has so far produced 9 studio albums, and had received numerous awards, such as a Teen Choice Award in 2008, and the recent one, a People's Choice Award this month.
