The defending NBA Champions, the Miami Heat, are seeking help in their frontcourt. Chris Andersen who last played for the Denver Nuggets, is working out with them.
Andersen is 34 years old, but still has a lot left in the tank. He was very successful coming off the bench for the Nuggets. He was a fan favorite and had a vibrant personality. According to Yahoo! Sports, Pat Riley, the president of the Miami Heat thought that Andersen could benefit his team in a few places that need some improvement.
The Bleacher Report reports that Andersen’s most highlighted season was in 2009-10 when he averaged more than six rebounds a game along with more than two blocks. These are exactly the kind of things that would benefit the Miami Heat who rank 29th in rebounds per game in the league.
If Andersen can get into game shape, then he should be able to improve a Miami Heat team with much needed help in the paint.
