Pop princess Britney Spears will be releasing her eighth studio album at the end of this year, arguably one of the most anticipated records of the year.
TheCelebrityCafe.com reported earlier this month that Spears was "working hard" on her next album. However, new details have been revealed.
Hit-Boy, the producer known for Kanye West's "N***as in Paris" and Lil Wayne's "Drop the World," has been confirmed as a producer for Spears's album number eight, according to MTV News.
Hit-Boy told MTV, “Britney is amazing … she’s been around for years and she’s going to continue to do her thing. I want to show people I’m not just a hip-hop producer, I’m not just in the urban world… I’m a music maker in general; I can make quality stuff no matter what it is."
“She’s really nice and cool," he added. "Nothing different from working with anyone else. She’s just a really cool person.”
Hit-Boy is reportedly interweaving hip-hop and pop sonics together to create a new sound for Spears. They are currently in the brainstorming process, but "it's coming together."
Spears's previous album, 2011's Femme Fatale, was an international hit, reaching number one on Billboard's Hot 100 and churning out three top-10 hits — "Hold It Against Me," "'Till the World Ends" and "I Wanna Go." Spears is the only artist in history to have seven consecutive albums debut in the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100.
There is no official release date for the album yet.
