Here Comes Honey Boo Boo will have one less recurring star. Boo Boo’s mother June Shannon has reportedly banned ‘Crazy Tony’ Lindsey from the show because of his wild behavior.
“We love him as a friend ... but that was a crazy story,” June told the site. “Not trying to be mean, but we want to keep it family oriented.”
June admits that even though Lindsey is referred to as a cousin on the show, he isn’t actually related to the family. “Crazy Tony's just a family friend ... who is just crazy,” she said.
“If they want me back on the show, they’re going to have to pay me,” Lindsey told ABC News.
This move looks to be part of June’s hope that the Toddlers & Tiaras spin-off can go back to being about her daughter, Alana Thompson. “Mama June has recently said she wants to bring the show back to being about the family, and center on family values,” People magazine writer Charlotte Triggs told ABC.
June has also been trying to handle the money from the show the right way, splitting the revenue between her four daughters and putting it in a trust fund for their future. They reportedly earn $20,000 per episode.
“I don’t want, 10 years down the road, Alana or any of the other kids to be thinking, ‘Oh, my God, I have nothing to show for it,’” June told Jimmy Kimmel during a recent appearance.
