'Hunger Games' star Jennifer Lawrence sick with pneumonia

Even Katniss Everdeen can’t escape getting sick now and then. The Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence, also known for her role as Raven in X-Men: First Class, has come down with a case of pneumonia.

According to The Sun , Lawrence was recently awarded best actress by the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television for her role as Tiffany Maxwell in Silver Linings Playbook but had to ask costar Jacki Weaver to accept on her behalf.

Weaver announced at the ceremony, “I'm going to receive this on her behalf. Poor Jen is really sick. She really is sick. She has pneumonia.”

Lawrence has been feeling ill since the Golden Globes, reported E! Online , and it has not been confirmed whether or not the young actress will be well enough to attend the upcoming Oscars.

A guest at the AACTA told The Sun, “Everyone was shell-shocked. With these ceremonies, when people claim to be ill sometimes there is doubt how unwell someone is. But when Jackie said Jennifer had pneumonia it sent a chilled hush around the room.”

Lawrence’s newest film Silver Linings Playbook is a romantic comedy based on the book of the same name and tells the story of a just-released mental institution patient who attempts reconciliation with his wife.
