Jennifer Hudson will perform with the Sandy Hook Elementary School’s chorus at CBS’ Super Bowl pre-game show.
According to The Associated Press, NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy, Oscar-winning Jennifer Hudson will join the chorus of Sandy Hook Elementary, the school in Newtown, Connecticut that fell victim to a shooting rampage on December 14th.
Hudson will be joining the Sandy Hook Elementary chorus of 26 students to sing “American the Beautiful” at CBS’ pre-game show of the Ravens vs 49ers Super Bowl game.
NY Daily News reports that the National Football League will be paying to fly the chorus members and their families to the game, which will take place on February 3rd in New Orleans.
This is the second Super Bowl performance for Hudson; she sang the national anthem at the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Arizona Cardinal Super Bowl XLIII game.
