Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence has embraced her role as Katniss Everdeen so much that she even owns her own bow-and-arrow -- which she almost used when she thought someone was breaking into her house!
In the newest issue of Vanity Fair, the 22-year-old beauty explains, “One time I actually used it for defense. I pulled into my garage and I heard men in my house. And I was like, 'I'm not letting them take my stuff. I had just gotten back from training, so I had the bow and arrows in the back of my car.”
“I went to my car and I put this quiver on me and I had my bow and I loaded it and I'm walking up the stairs,” she continues. “And I look, and my patio doors were open, and there were guys working right there, and I was like, 'Heyyy, how you doin'?'"
Lawrence appears in the February issue of Vanity Fair where she discussed her almost heroic bow-and-arrow experience as well as her views on acting, calling it “stupid,” but noting that she is “not trying to be rude.”
“I’m not saving anybody’s life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I’m making movies. It’s stupid,” she explains.
VF is the third magazine Lawrence has been featured on in just a matter of months. She has sat down with the likes of Elle, where she discussed the importance of her fans viewing her as a real woman, and Marie Claire South Africa where the Silver Linings Playbook star talked New Year’s resolutions.
Lawrence is currently working on the sequel to The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and is also slated to star in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
