Viewers are excited to watch some of their favorite actors and actresses grace the red carpet for Sunday evening’s Golden Globe Awards. The event is less than four days away and Silver Linings Playbook actress Jennifer Lawrence doesn’t have a dress just yet.
Lawrence, who plays a widow named Tiffany in the movie, tells USA Today, “A few weeks ago, I was getting coffee at a laundromat. And this guy came up to me and said he wanted to thank me for Silver Linings because it helped his family understand him. That's why we made this movie. My job here is done.”
Lawrence, who stars opposite Bradley Cooper, is up for the award of Best Actress. She explains that the last time she went to the Golden Globes she was 20 and not “able to drink.” She is looking forward to this time around at the age of 22, but first she’ll have to find a dress.
"I have not picked a dress yet,” she explains.
Lawrence will have two dresses to pick out now as she has also been nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress in Silver Linings Playbook. Entertainment Weekly reports that not only was Lawrence nominated, but so was a majority of the cast.
She explains, “When you’re hoping for something and you’re praying and we’re all getting so excited and then it’s even better than you imagined it’s unbelievable ... [The whole cast have] been texting,” she said. “I just sent them a picture of Obama on a unicorn with a rainbow saying ‘Congratulations.’”
Catch Lawrence and, hopefully, her dress Sunday, when the Golden Globes air! The awards are followed by the Oscars which air Feb. 24.
