Silver Linings Playbook actress Jennifer Lawrence may be down but she’s not out. Following confirmations that the 22-year-old Golden Globe winner had pneumonia, Lawrence stepped out looking stunning in a blue Christian Dior gown for the Screen Actors Guild awards.
Costar Jacki Weaver accepted the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts award on behalf of the Playbook star and told the crowd that Lawrence was truly ill as she had explained at the Golden Globes.
The Hunger Games actress stunned on the red carpet once again, telling E! News reporter Giuliana Rancic of her illness: “It's highly contagious." Lawrence was quick to assure Rancic, who has an infant son at home, that she is doing fine.
Lawrence chatted with Rancic about her own evolving fashion sense. “I had my brothers' hand-me-downs," she explained of her former status as Tom Boy. "I had no choice! I didn't want to be, but my parents wouldn't buy me clothes. I had to wear my brothers' clothes, so I was literally wearing men's clothing.”
The 22-year-old actress has certainly evolved, impressing audiences as two award ceremonies already this year.
