After Jessica Simpson gave birth to her baby in May, she immediately started working with Weight Watchers to publicize how she lost her baby weight. If Kim Kardashian is hoping to do a similar deal after her baby is born, she will have to look hard to find companies interested, since two weight loss brands already said they don’t want to work with her.
Reps for both Jenny Craig and Medifast told TMZ they do not have any desire to work with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality star. Medifast says that they have no interest in celebrity endorsements, while Jenny Craig said that its focus for 2013 is “real results for real women.”
However, Jenny Craig said that it will continue to work with pop icon Mariah Carey. “We will continue our working relationship with Mariah Carey,” the company stated.
Kardashian worked with Quick Trim in 2012, so it is not known if she is really looking to work with another weight loss brand.
Kardashian and her boyfriend, Kanye West, went public with their pregnancy over the weekend and have not stopped talking about how excited they are. “We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us,” she wrote on her blog.
West is reportedly on a “high” following the announcement. The rapper is “happy, fortunate and very thankful” according to a source for Hollywoodlife.
“I wouldn't say that it's been easy,” Kardashian also said about her pregnancy on Entertainment Tonight. “When people say pregnancy is fun and they love it, I would have to disagree....It's not as easy as people think. It is, you know, a little painful. There's a lot of growing pains.”
