A Jonas Brothers fan is suing the group, claiming that she was crushed by a crowd of fans during a concert they gave for free in Los Angeles three years ago.
Ashleigh Johnson said she had gone to LA’s The Grove, an outdoor shopping mall, for the group’s 3 p.m. show in May, 2010, reports TMZ. She claims that she was pushed against a fence by the uncontrolled crowd.
In the suit, she says she was “agonizingly crushed” and suffered mental, emotional and physical injuries.
According to E! News, Johnson filed the suit against their corporate entity, Jonas Brothers Enterprises, and Caruso Management Co., which runs the Grove, for negligence. She claims that they should have better prepared for the large crowd.
As MTV notes, the group was promoting their last album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, at the time and are expecting to release a new album this year, which is still untitled. They recently performed a new song titled “Wedding Bells” in New York and said that the album will feature all new songs written by them.
The group has not commented on Johnson’s suit.
