Justin Bieber being sued by ex-bodyguard for assault

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Justin Bieber is at the center of yet another assault allegation.

According to TMZ, the 5’7” 130 pound popstar is being sued for allegedly punching and berating his former Israeli bodyguard, Moshe Benabou.

Benabou, an ex-member of the Israeli army, claims that the “Boyfriend” singer punched him multiple times in the chest and refused to pay him overtime. The former bodyguard, who reportedly worked for Bieber from March 2011-October 2012, is seeking $420,000 in unpaid overtime as well as unspecified damages for assault and battery. He was allegedly fired for lying about previously working with Justin Timberlake.

Benabou’s attorney, IIan Heimanson, explained in a statement, “For nearly two years Mr. Benabou devoted himself completely to ensuring Mr. Bieber's personal safety. Mr. Benabou deserved, as does any employee, to be treated with respect, dignity and in accordance with the law. Unfortunately, he was not. "

Sources close to the 18-year-old singer state that Benabou is a "disgruntled employee looking for money."

Bieber was previously accused of punching a photog during an alleged altercation outside of a California mall in May 2012. No charges were brought against Bieber.
