Pattie Mallette, best known to the world as the mother of pop superstar Justin Bieber, will be producing an anti-abortion film titled Crescendo.
Movie to Movement, which is producing the film, is looking to raise $10 million for pregnancy centers around the world when it starts screening the film on Feb. 28, reports The Associated Press. Mallette will be credited as an executive producer and is even planning on attending some of the screenings in person.
Mallette said in a statement that she hopes to “encourage young women all over the world, just like me, to let them know that there is a place to go, people who will take care of you and a safe home to live in if you are pregnant and think you have nowhere else to turn.”
According to Cinemablend, Mallette has been open about her anti-abortion stance. She was pregnant with Bieber in high school and considered having an abortion. She converted to Christianity and decided against it. Of course, the baby - Bieber - went on to become one of the biggest pop stars in the world.
There were no additional details about the film, such as where these special screenings will take place or who directed the film.
