We know now that Justin Bieber wasn’t even behind the wheel when a paparazzo tragically died in his quest to snap a picture of the star in his Ferrari, and it’s now being revealed who was driving the car.
The “Beauty and a Beat” star’s friend, rapper Lil Twist, a Lil Wayne protégé, was the one behind the wheel when a paparazzo was killed by oncoming traffic.
According to TMZ, the friends were hanging out at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, but Lil Twist left in Bieber’s Ferrari without him.
Bieber and Lil Twist have been partying together for weeks, so they have apparently become so close that Bieber trusted him taking his expensive car.
As we previously reported, Bieber’s Ferrari was pulled over by Highway Patrol for a routine traffic stop on Sepulveda Blvd. when the paparazzo pulled into traffic to get a closer look. He was then hit by an oncoming car and killed.
Bieber also sent his condolences to the family of the paparazzo.
“While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim,” he said in a statement. “Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves.”
