Justin Timberlake is finally giving fans what they’ve been hoping for since he took a break from his music to focus on acting: he’s ready to record new music.
The Social Network star, who got his start on the Mickey Mouse Club and went on to become extremely successful in the music business with his boy band N*SYNC and a solo career, took to Twitter to relay the good news.
He explains in the clip, "I don't want to put anything out that I feel like is anything I don't love. You just don't get that every day. You have to wait for it. ... I'm ready."
There is a countdown that ends at midnight on Sunday, MTV News reports.
In the clip, he also tells fans, "Someone asked me the other day 'So, are you just done with music?' It means more to me than anybody else in the world. Look, I've only done two albums in 10 years; that's the way I really look at it ... I'm the one who sits and is obsessive about it before you even get to hear it.”
“As close as I get to it, I don't know that I could physically torture myself that much year-in and year-out and expect it to fulfill me the way that it does and the way that it is right now.”
His last album was FutureSex/LoveSounds, which was released in 2006.
