Justin Timberlake’s return to music might just give him his biggest sales yet!
Fans of the former boy-bander are flocking to iTunes to download the
R&B single, titled “Suit and Tie,” a collaboration with Jay-Z, which
was released on Monday, January 14.
According to Billboard.com, “Suit and Tie” is set to sell between 300,000 and 350,000 copies, giving Timberlake his biggest first week sales. The week willend on Sunday and reports will go out then if Justin broke his own record.
Back in 2006, Timberlake sold 250,000 electronic copies of his then
single, “SexyBack.” Since then, electronic sales have skyrocketed and
artists everywhere are breaking records upon records.
MTV News says that there is no way that Timberlake can beat Taylor Swift’s first week electronic sales of 623,000 but that is because Justin’s fans are older and not as quick to go and download a song as the teens
that follow Swift religiously.
“Suit and Tie” is Justin Timberlake’s first single off his latest
album, The 20/20 Experience. The album has no release date as of
now.
