Kathy Griffin not sorry about Anderson Cooper oral sex simulation (Video)

While a majority of New Year’s Eve viewers were shocked by Kathy Griffin’s simulation of oral sex on Anderson Cooper, the Life on the D List comedian appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman to simply state that she is not sorry for her actions.

“If you think this is the part where I’m going to apologize for trying to go down on Anderson Cooper, you are sorely mistaken,” she told Letterman, reports the New York Daily News.

“I tried, ladies and gays, I tried for you,” she continued, facing the crowd.

Griffin’s antics floored viewers and made a nervous wreck out of her co-host. The camera returned from discussing a traditional segment to Griffin kissing Cooper’s crotch. The “Silver Fox” attempted to give Griffin a way out by asking if she had dropped something, but she responded, “No I was kissing your sardine.”

Cooper told the Daily News of his partner's outrageous antics before the latest incident, “Each year I keep thinking she’s not going to get rehired, and then there she is back again.”

He added, “I actually love doing it with her. She’s a handful because we never know what she’s going to say or do. It makes me nervous every time — I sweat tremendously during the broadcast.”

The Daily News notes this isn’t the first outrageous display from the comedian in her six years hosting the New Year’s Eve festivities. She notoriously stripped down to her underwear in 2011 and dropped the F-bomb live back in 2009.
