Kobe Bryant and Vanessa reconcile, file papework to dismiss divorce

Vanessa Bryant will no longer be dubbed the ex-wife of NBA star Kobe Bryant. She has officially called off their divorce.

TMZ reports that Vanessa filed paperwork that both parties signed off on to dismiss the divorce Friday. Vanessa previously filed divorce documents in 2011 citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Kobe and Vanessa remained strong despite allegations that he sexually assaulted a Colorado hotel worker in 2003, CBS LA reports. The case was later dropped after the alleged 19-year-old victim would not testify.

Vanessa has since posted a message on Instagram announcing their reconciliation in the form of a picture. The statement reads, “We are pleased to announce that we have reconciled. Our divorce action will be dismissed. We are looking forward to our future together.”

TMZ notes that the two were have been inseparable since the Hurricane Sandy relief concert in December 2012. They have been photographed at numerous hot spots as well as dining together.

Kobe and Vanessa have two daughters, ages 5 and 8, together.
