Kris Jenner to host daytime talk show

Kourtney and Kim just took Miami. Now, it's the Kardashian "momager" who is taking TV.

Fox Television Stations and Twentieth Television have confirmed that Kris Jenner will host a talk TV series this summer. As reported by TV Guide, Kris will test run for six weeks and air on several Fox stations. The show will be shot in L.A.

The Kardashians have successfully made the jump from reality TV stars to a family brand, thanks in large part to Jenner. Twentieth Television seems to think that the matriarch will be successful in her next venture as well. "Whether offering real advice to her family or sharing personal moments with viewers, Kris is honest, compelling, entertaining, and unscripted — all excellent qualities for a daytime talk show host," said EVP of development and production Steven Brown in a statement.

As The Washington Post points out, Jenner is not the only member of the family to land a hosting gig with the corporation. Khloe Kardashian co-hosted on the singing competition The X-Factor last season.

Both The Wendy Williams Show and Bethenny began with summer test runs before being fully picked up by the network.
