Lance Armstrong rejects ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Lance Armstrong is one of a succession of celebrities to deny ABC’s offers to appear on the sixteenth season of Dancing with the Stars.

According to Inside TV, this was not the first time that Lance Armstrong had been offered a spot on Dancing with the Stars. In fact, according to reps, he has been pursued nearly every year since the show began.

“Lance has been offered the show each and every year since its inception. Although flattered he has passed on their generous offers,” said a spokesperson for Armstrong.

Interestingly, Armstrong was approached this year before his shocking interview with Oprah in which he admitted to regularly using performance-enhancing drugs.

This news comes at the same time that we reported Lindsay Lohan rejected an offer of over half of a million dollars to be a contestant on the show. Katherine Webb, former Miss Alabama and quarterback AJ McCarron’s girlfriend, also denied rumors that she would appear on DWTS’s sixteenth season, tweeting, “love to dance! But no DWTS.”
