Lauren Conrad, the author, fashion designer, former star of MTV’s The Hills and all-around envy-worthy gal opened up to Lucky magazine during an interview for her cover story this month.
Conrad, who has published seven New York Times Bestseller books, said she’s creating more eco-friendly fashions for her lines.
Although Conrad is a successful designer, she admitted that she has fashion regrets.
She told Lucky, “I try to never look back at how I dressed in the first few seasons of Laguna Beach because it was pretty bad … head-to-toe bad. This past summer, MTV replayed every episode and I would always see it and be like, Ahh, noo! I wore these capri denim pants a lot and they were so bad.”
Conrad added that her past on Laguna Beach meant that major players in the fashion industry did not take her seriously as a designer at first. She added that she has mellowed out with caring what people think of her.
“I’ve learned to take a step back and ask myself if it’s really going to affect me, if this person who I’m never going to know or meet doesn’t like me—and it doesn’t.”
