Leonardo DiCaprio attended fellow actor Sean Penn's charity gala "Help Haiti Home" in Los Angeles last Saturday, where he showed his kindness and selflessness by winning an auction for a date with former president Bill Clinton.
According to Star Pulse, the Django Unchained actor was the main bidder with $100,000, and apparently got into a bidding war with two rivals.
It, however, did not come into a real fight, as they created an agreement to turn a date for two into a party of four.
The "Help Haiti Home" gala was created to celebrate three-year anniversary of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti, and raised $4 million for Penn's relief organization, The Huffington Post reported.
DiCaprio was one of the celebrity guests who attended the gala held at Montage Hotel, which Penn had set up to raise money and awareness to help earthquake victims in Haiti.
The Blood Diamond star not only bid for a date with the former president, he also bid for a traveling package to Bhutan. However, he lost to Giorgio Armani's niece, Roberta, for $240,000.
Other celebrities who showed up in the gala were Julia Roberts, Richard Gere, Mel Gibson, Daniel Craig, and Reese Witherspoon, who reportedly paid $2,500 to $5,000 for a seat there.
