After a string of films, Leonardo DiCaprio needs a break from acting.
His most recent film Django Unchained has become a critical and commercial success, even getting several Oscar nominations. He’s also gearing up for the release of The Great Gatsby and Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street.
In an interview with Germany’s Bild, DiCaprio revealed "I'm a little bit drained. I am now going to take a long, long break,” adding “I’ve done three films in two years and I’m just worn out.”
He added that he’d like to switch his focus on his activism in the environment, saying "I would like to improve the world a bit. I will fly around the world doing good for the environment.”
Oregon Live reports that the actor also said he wants to relax with friends and “talk about absolutely nothing of importance and act like a complete idiot.”
DiCaprio was recently nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in Django Unchained. He said of his best supporting actor nod, “I'm truly honored to be nominated by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association today. Django Unchained was a remarkable experience and I consider myself lucky to work with Quentin (Tarantino) and the entire cast on the film. I'm particularly proud to be named alongside my fellow Django nominees."
