Actress Megan Fox announced Thursday that she would stop using Twitter after one week of signing up on the social media site.
NBC reported that Fox announced her plans on Facebook.
"I thought that 2013 might be the year that I finally blossomed into a social networking butterfly... but as it turns out I still hate it," Fox wrote. Her comments have reportedly generated over 50,000 ‘likes.’
Her brief time on Twitter, however, gained her over 250,000 followers. Fox apparently followed nobody on the site.
US Magazine reported on Jan. 4 that Fox, 26, was reluctant to join Twitter from the beginning.
"Against my better judgment, I have finally joined Twitter," she wrote on Facebook at the time. "Every possible version of my name is already in use so for now my Twitter handle is https://twitter.com/MeganFox516. See you there."
Her first tweet was:
"I'm incredibly late to the party but I'm here nonetheless, so what now?"
Fox is married to actor Brian Austin Green. The two became parents to son Noah on Sept. 27.
