After missing the conference finals time after time, the Memphis Grizzlies are ready to make a move. Rudy Gay, who was once the biggest star for the Grizzlies, is now on the trading block.
Last year, the Grizzlies lost to the Los Angeles Clippers in the playoffs. According to USA Today, Gay said in a recent interview, “It doesn’t bother me. It's not the first time. It's the league. It's my seventh year in the league and I've pretty much seen everything. If I haven't seen it, I've been a part of it. It's nothing new.” When you have a veteran player who has seen everything, then they are pretty much ready to continue where they left off on their new team.
The Grizzlies are actively searching for deals around the NBA. The trade deadline is February 21st so they want to make a deal before then. According to Yahoo! Sports, the Phoenix Suns are a strong player in the team trade scenarios.
The Grizzlies are very interested in Jared Dudley, a guard who can also play forward for the Suns. He could shoot very well and give the Grizzlies a good scoring option that could make up for the departure of Gay.
