Michael Bay adds Jack Reynor to cast list for 'Transformers 4'

Transformers 4 actor is revealing only a slight amount of details into the ultra-secret plot for the fourth installment to the Transformers franchise.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the director revealed the details on his website.

Bay explains that he has hired Jack Reynor, whose credits include Dollhouse and What Richard Did. The high-profile director explains that Reynor will star “against Mark Wahlberg.”

On to the plot details, Bay reveals that Transformers 4 is “not a reboot” that it “takes place exactly 4 years after the war in Chicago. The story makes a very natural transition, and reason as to why we have a whole new cast. This Transformers will feel very different than the last three. We are embarking on a new trilogy.”

He ends his statements there. Up and Comers reports that Reynor could essentially play Wahlberg’s daughter’s boyfriend, although that report has not been confirmed. An actress who could play under Wahlberg has not been announced.
