Michael Lohan to sue ex-wife Dina over abuse claims

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Michael Lohan is retaliating after ex-wife Dina Lohan made claims that he physically abused her and raped her during their marriage.

As we previously reported, Dina stood before the media armed with medical documents in which she claimed and proved numerous times she went to the hospital due to abuse Michael inflicted upon her.

Dina claimed Michael gave her a black eye and then later raped her on Valentine’s Day. She came forward to express the pain she went through, saying she feels that it will help others understand why daughter Lindsay is “so messed up.”

Michael refuted claims, telling New York Daily News, “I came in at 2 o’clock in the morning after being out with some friends. I walked in and she hit me with an ice tray. With the back of my hand I slapped her in the face. Yes, it did happen in 1986. Were there any charges? No, not at all. I had a big black and blue on my neck from her.”

Now, AZ Central reports that Michael plans to sue Dina for the statements made to the Daily News.

''She keeps harassing me with texts asking for money. It's like she's extorting me or she will keep lying in the press,” he explained to the Daily News.

“My lawyer is already in the process of suing Dina for $120,000 for a contract I lost because of her lies (aside from the $100,000 judgment I already have against her),” Michael tells Radar Online. “My lawyer is now calling ET to inform them that if they air any more of her lies, not only will Dina be sued, but they will be held accountable as well! It’s pathetic that ET would even consider letting her do an interview considering how many times she gets caught in lies!”

According to the report, Michael has since sent a seize and desist order, ordering Entertainment Tonight to stop airing her claims.
