Michelle Williams: Destiny’s Child Super Bowl reunion is 'not true' (Video)

By Daniela Duron,

Fans of Destiny’s Child eagerly awaiting their performance at the Super Bowl will be disappointed, as Michelle Williams has revealed that rumors of the group performing at the halftime show are unfortunately false.

Williams told WRUG Media that although she did record a song with Beyonce and Kelly Rowland before the holidays, nothing has been confirmed for the Super Bowl.

“I hate to disappoint the people and tell them that it’s not true,” Williams said in the video, seen below. “I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.”

She added that although fans won’t see her in the show, they can see her performing in the new musical Fela!.

Although the group isn’t planning to reunite outside of the studio, they are planning to release a greatest hits album tomorrow, Jan. 29, titled Destiny’s Child – Love Songs, according to People. The album will include "Nuclear," their first song in eight years.

Beyonce is still set to perform at the Feb. 3 halftime show, having already posted pictures of her rehearsals on her Instagram.
