Michelle Williams is trying to shoot down reports about the Destiny’s Child reunion that is said to be taking place during halftime of this Sunday’s Super Bowl.

According to E! News, Williams was interviewed by WRUG radio in Memphis and said that the rumors about the reunion are “not true.” According to Williams, she will be busy with her musical Fela! in Washington D.C. on Sunday.

In the interview, embedded below, Williams says that she hates to disappoint people about the "unconfirmed" reunion reports. She does say that the group is "talking" about a reunion sometime in the future.

Williams is indeed a feature part of the musical which opens this week, but Fela!'s official website makes indications to the contrary of what Williams said.

According to Fela!'s theatre company, Williams will miss four performances starting Thursday through Super Sunday.

...Maybe it was supposed to all be a surprise.

Fela! is produced by Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith and Jay-Z, the latter of which is also rumored to be a surprise performer for the halftime show.
