Michelle Williams squashes Destiny's Child halftime reunion rumors (Video)

While Destiny’s Child Super Bowl performance/reunion remains a hot topic, former bandmate Michelle Williams has come forward to put rumors to bed, noting that the band will not come together and perform on Super Bowl Sunday.

“I’m going to be in the musical Fela!" she explained as quoted by E! News. During her interview with WRUG Media she states, "I hate to disappoint the people and tell them that it's not true."

Williams kept fans guessing over the weekend, as we previously reported, Williams kept coy when addressed about the rumors telling MTV, “Unfortunately, I honestly can’t say.”

Beyonce also had fans on pins and needles after sharing behind the scenes photos of her Super Bowl rehearsal. Speculations continued to surface as many media outlets reported that Bey’s performance would include Destiny’s Childs hit songs “Bills, Bills, Bills” and “Survivor.”

Her performance in Fela! is confirmed on the website, with one performance scheduled for Super Bowl Sunday.
