Universal’s Fifty Shades of Grey film is still without a star or director, but it remains one of the most talked about projects in Hollywood, with several stars being asked if they’d be interested in starring. Mila Kunis had reportedly said that she wanted the part of Anastasia Steele, but it turns out that those quotes were fabricated.
U.K. tabloid The Sun claimed that the Ted star spoke with the publication and quoted her as saying that she would have a “good time” playing the part.
“There are times when you just want to do something fun and different, because you’re going to have a good time doing it,” the paper claims she said.
However, a source told E! News that the quotes were completely faked. Kunis, 29, never spoke with the paper.
The role of Anastasia has drawn plenty of interest, with Emma Watson, Anna Kendrick and Alexis Bledel's names floating around as possibilities.
The search for an actor to play Christian Grey is still on, as is the search for a director. However, James Franco claimed that he heard Milk director Gus Van Sant was being considered.
“I heard Gus [Van Sant] might direct it. If he directed it, I'd do it,” Franco told Marie Claire.
