After hearing that a member of the paparazzi was killed on Tuesday while trying to get a picture of Justin Bieber’s Ferrari, Miley Cyrus, who has been a paparazzi target herself, made some comments on Twitter about the accident.
Bieber issued a statement, sending his condolences to the photographer's family and noting that he hopes it will “finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves.”
In her own statement on Twitter, Cyrus also said that she hopes it inspires change, referencing Princess Diana’s tragic death.
“Hope this paparazzi/JB accident brings on some changes in '13 Paparazzi are dangerous! Wasn't Princess Di enough of a wake up call?!” she wrote.

The former Disney star thinks that it is not fair to put this on Bieber’s conscience. “It is unfair for anyone to put this on to Justin's conscious as well! This was bound to happen!” she explained. “Your mom teaches u when your a child not to play in the street! The chaos that comes with the paparazzi acting like fools makes it impossible for anyone to make safe choices.”
Although the photographer’s identity has not officially been released, TMZ is reporting that his name is Chris Guerra. The site spoke to a source who claimed that he was the last person to speak with Guerra. The photographer apparently believed Bieber was smoking pot, so he tried to catch a photo of the pop star in the act, the source said.
