With the Alabama Crimson Tide literally rolling over Notre Dame during last night’s BCS college football championship, ESPN announcers Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit needed something to keep the audience (and themselves) entertained, so when the cameras found Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron’s girlfriend, they suddenly had a topic of conversation.
“Wow, I'm telling you. You quarterbacks, you get all the good-looking women,” Musburger, 73, commented when the cameras first spotted Katherine Webb, the current Miss Alabama. “So, if you're a youngster in Alabama, start getting a football out and throw it around the backyard with Pops!”
When the game reached 28-0, the cameras went back to Webb and they made sure they found her again at the end of the game. “There is Miss Alabama, with the victory kiss,” Musburger added, notes E! News.
Webb did not go unnoticed in the Twittersphere. Arizona Cardinals player Darnell Dockett even hilariously asked her to call him up, tweeting his phone number to her, reports the Los Angeles Times. He eventually deleted that post, writing, “S**t that was suppose to be DM!”
He followed that up with this:

According to CBS Sports, McCarron was shocked after the game to hear about what happened on Twitter while he was busy playing football. He couldn’t believe that LeBron James was now following his girlfriend and that Dockett wanted her to call him.
“Maaan! I'ma tweet him and I'm gonna get a follow,” he said. “That's messed up. But I guess she's more famous than me.”
That’s stating the obvious. You can check out how the nation was introduced to Webb below:
