Octomom Nadya Suleman signed up for welfare again last week to help raise her 14 children.
After five months of supporting herself, TMZ reports that Octomom is back on welfare as of last week.
The last time she signed up for welfare was this past March, but it was no longer necessary by July.
In the past, her stripping and pornographic work had turned up enough revenue for her to raise her family independently of any federal assistance.
However, her time in rehab this past October has left her in need of aid once more. According to TMZ, she spent 30 days at the Chapman House Drug Rehabilitation Center in Los Angeles for her Xanax dependency. She had become addicted to the prescription drug to deal with anxiety and stress. At the time, the care of her 14 kids was split up between three nannies and two friends.
Each month she will be receiving $1,800 for food, $1,000 emergency cash, and Medi-Cal benefits for dental and mental health issues.
She only plans to stay on welfare until she is able to “get on her feet” again.
